Requesting an Inspection

After pressing 1, you will be asked to enter your permit number followed by the pound (#) sign. The permit number and the address will be spoken back to you. If correct, press 1. If not correct, press 2 and reenter the permit number followed by the pound (#) sign. You will be instructed, "Press 1 for a Building Inspection, 2 for a Plumbing Inspection, 3 for a Mechanical (Gas) Inspection or 4 for an Electrical Inspection. Make your selection. "

You will next be asked to enter the two-digit Inspection Code. The code can be found on the Mesa County Inspection Card beside the inspection names or, by pressing the * key, you can hear a list of inspection types. If the inspection you are requesting is a multi-type inspection, you will need to enter each inspection individually. After you have entered the Inspection Code, it will be spoken back to you. If it is correct, press 1. If not correct, press 2 and reenter. After you have pressed 1, you will be asked if you want the inspection scheduled for the next working day. If so, press 1. If you want the inspection scheduled for two working days out, press 2. You will now be able to leave a message for the inspector. If you wish, press 1 to leave a message. If you do not want to leave a message, press 2. You will now hear the date that the inspection will be performed.

You will next be asked, "To hear your confirmation number and hang up, press 1. To schedule another inspection for the same permit number press 2. To schedule an inspection for another permit number press 3. If you choose either selection 2 or 3, follow the steps above." Make a note of the confirmation number. If an inspection does not take place, we can track it down with this number. You have now completed the inspection requesting process.
