    John Justman has lived in the Grand Valley for nearly fifty years, and has owned and operated a successful farming business on K Road for 40 of those years.
    He and his wife, Frances, raised their two sons on their farm. The Justmans instilled in their children an abiding respect for higher education and, after attending Fruita Monument High School, Anthony graduated from Stanford Law School, and Craig earned his Ph.D. at Harvard.

     Prior Services

    Throughout his life John has demonstrated dedication to this community. His service includes:

    • Mesa County Planning Commission – 7 years
      (Served as Member, Vice Chairman & Chairman)
    • Fruita Co-Op Board – 36 years
      (Former Chairman, managing a budget of more than $20 million)
    • Secretary – Soil Conservation Board – 9 years
      (Their mission is “to aid and assist land owners”.)
    • Director – Grand Valley Irrigation – 14 years
      (Directly involved in both the business and political aspects of protecting local water.)

    Additionally, John served on the Board of the Colorado Onion Growers Association, he is an active member of Club 20 and both the Grand Junction and Fruita Chambers of Commerce.  He has been a member of the NRA for 40 years and has been a Life Endowment Member for the past 20 years.
