Governance

A group of Clifton and Fruitvale residents has analyzed several options for the future of their community, including:

  • Forming a new city. (Incorporation)
  • Becoming part of the City of Grand Junction. (Annexation)
  • Forming a Public Improvement District to provide certain services.
  • Doing nothing.
 

Using input from the larger community, and a feasibility study performed by Mesa County staff, the committee has recommended moving forward with the annexation option. For more information on how they came to this decision, and what it might mean for you, click on one of the following links:
