TECHNICAL RESOURCE
ADVISORY COMMITTEE
MISSION
The mission of the Mesa County Technical
Resource Advisory Committee is to provide land conservation
guidance to landowners and residents.
GOALS
- Increase the use of
creative and alternative solutions to traditional
development that will encourage the preservation of prime
and productive agricultural land, and other
important/unique open lands.
- Provide a current
and broad-based menu of flexible tools and incentives for
private land conservation.
- Improve landowner
awareness about alternatives to traditional land
subdivision and development.
- Improve county
residents' awareness and education about agricultural
land conservation.
- Provide ongoing
education to technical experts (estate planners, lawyers,
etc.) for land conservation tools and strategies.
- Direct education to
the real estate and development communities to increase
their participation in creative developments that help to
conserve productive agricultural land and other
important/unique open lands.
