Responsibility
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs
work of a fairly complex nature that includes using computers, various software
and peripheral equipment to input data and create various reports. Organizes the pending and current inmate rosters for the Alternative
Sentencing Unit. Assists in depositing and tracking inmate fees. Work
involves compiling information, preparing reports, typing, and filing.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Inputs
data from court records, ensuring use of correct forms and procedures. Reviews input of other staff to audit
data integrity.
Uses
database to generate facility reports and inmate information.
Counts
money and prepares deposit slips for money taken from inmates.
Processes fees,
tracking inmate payments and amounts still owed.
Processes
new referrals from the court and sets up records for pending inmates in
database.
May
assist with other office functions on an as needed basis, including typing,
filing, and assisting with data input for other ASU processes.
Prepares
reports and mails notices to the courts and resolves questions on sentencing
information.
Logs,
tracks, and maintains records on activities in the database.
Assist with
proper record storage procedures.
Inventory
and order supplies for the Alternative Sentencing Unit...
Track and
enter payroll information for ASU staff.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
Education
and Experience:
High school
diploma or equivalent; two years of college or technical school or two (2)
years of related experience preferred
Any
combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge,
skills and abilities required for the job.
PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires standing,
stooping, sitting, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
Work is
generally confined to a standard office environment.
The
incumbent's working conditions are usually moderate to loud and occasionally
hectic and noisy.
Occasional
exposure of work time to hazardous situations which involve physically
violent persons, interviewing mentally
or emotionally disturbed persons or bodily injury from biohazards, infections,
or blood-borne pathogens.
