Grand ValleyThe Land Use and Development staff reviews and processes a variety of development applications. These include many different types of subdivisions, commercial, industrial and other business projects. Along with multi-family projects, rezones, road vacations, conditional use permits, and also map and text amendments of our Land Development Code.

We provide professional planning services that help guide growth and apply the development regulations in a fair and consistent manner. We help our applicants and citizens navigate the development process to produce the best possible projects.

Growth can mean more jobs, a stronger economy, more housing options, and a higher quality of life for our community. In order for the residents of Mesa County to reap the positive benefits of growth, it has to properly planned. The staff planners are responsible for reviewing new development for compliance with the Master Plan and adopted development standards so that health, safety, and welfare of Mesa County citizens is maintained and enhanced.
