Permit and plan review fees for the Building Department

NOTICE: Permit issuance after 4:30 pm will be on a limited basis.
No multiple permits will be issued after 4:30 pm.
 

Building Fee Schedule

To determine the applicable building permit fee for new construction, including additions, refer to the Building Department Fee Schedule.  Locate Table 3A- Building Valuation Data for the correct permit fee. Valuations will be rounded up in all cases.

1. Locate the use of the building from the left column. 
2. Locate the construction type from one of the vertical columns. This will give you the per square foot construction costs.
   1. For residential one and two family construction and their related structures, use the VB (far right) column for square foot construction costs.
3. Determine the total valuation of the project by multiplying the area in square feet of the structure by the dollar amount indicated on the table.

Determine the applicable building permit fee for remodel work and all other building up-grades from Mesa County Building Department Fee Schedule, based on the valuation of the project.

Other fees may be assessed depending on the scope of the project.
