The Behavioral Health Division at Mesa County Public Health promotes mental wellness for all ages. We strengthen community resilience by addressing the everyday factors that affect health and by supporting people with care that is personal, trustworthy, and community-based.

Collaborating for a stronger, healthier community

Major developments are taking place in Mesa County involving behavioral health. Since the Behavioral Health Community Planning Summit in April 2025, local organizations have been collaborating to address community needs. Mesa County Public Health is proud to be involved in this effort—watch this video to see the progress being made.

The 2025 Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) outlines priorities for behavioral health work in Mesa County.

Behavioral health is one of the critical priorities that were selected through over 400 individual contributions from in-person engagement, digital surveys, and partner planning meetings.
