Regional Transportation Planning Office

The Regional Transportation Planning Office (RTPO) plans for and funds regional transportation networks for those who drive, walk, bike, roll, take transit, deliver freight, or travel by other modes. As an office that serves all communities within Mesa County, the RTPO operates as the:
• Public transportation provider, Grand Valley Transit (GVT)
• Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)
• Colorado Transportation Planning Region (TPR).

Grand Valley Transit Shelter Mural Project Call for Artists

The Grand Valley Transit (GVT) Shelter Mural Project is seeking artists to design and paint vibrant, locally-themed mural panels for GVT bus stop shelters. Applications are due July 1, 2025 and the Mesa County Regional Transportation Planning Office (RTPO) will manage selections.
