Agencies within Mesa County will soon see a positive change in planning efforts as the Board of Commissioners approved a $70,000 strategic consulting contract with Western Colorado Business Development Corporation, dba Business Incubator Center on March 7, 2023.

Through the contract, County agencies will receive tools and techniques to manage income operations with the goal of sustainable growth.

Inconsistent funding cycles have made it challenging for agencies to implement long-term strategic plans in the past. Due to the deployment of opioid settlement dollars, these agencies now have a reliable funding stream dedicated to strategic planning to positively impact local change.
