Soundgarden is looking for a family to call his own

This October, Mesa County Animal Services was thrilled to see one of our most distinguished residents, Soundgarden, featured on KKCO’s Pet of the Month segment!

Soundgarden is a nine-year-old Domestic Medium Hair (DMH) whose majestic brown tabby coat and soulful gaze make him every bit the rock legend his name suggests. This mellow gentleman has a deep, thoughtful nature and enjoys the finer things in life, particularly sunbeam lounging, long naps, and keeping an eye on his human entourage.

While Soundgarden carries himself with calm sophistication, he’s not above showing off his inner grunge-rock spirit, especially when dinner is late. His powerful meow solo is his way of making sure the world knows when it’s tuna time. But win his heart, and you’ll be rewarded with the rarest treasure of all, the slow blink of supreme approval.
