Are you familiar with Mesa County Behavioral Health’s Multi-Agency Collaboration (MAC) team?

MAC serves as the first single point entry for an individual struggling with behavioral health issues and helps connect them with all the necessary resources to build a stable future.

MAC offers connections to a comprehensive range of essential services, including:

  • Employment opportunities
  • Access to food services
  • Housing opportunities
  • Assistance with Medicaid enrollment
  • Mental health services
  • Primary care access
  • Psychiatry and medication management
  • Public assistance programs
  • Substance use services
  • Transportation solutions

Mesa County Behavioral Health launched MAC in 2023, bringing together local hospitals, law enforcement, and Mesa County Detention to address the complex needs of individuals who frequently cycle through jails, homeless shelters, emergency departments, and other crisis services. This approach aims to help meet an individual’s immediate basic needs of food, shelter, and safety, recognizing that these must be addressed before they can start to improve their mental health.

MAC accepts referrals from various sources, such as hospitals, law enforcement agencies, court officers, and detention facilities.
