Bobbie Daniel, Chair to the Board of Mesa County Commissioners, spent the last three days representing our community at the NACo Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C. This conference brought together nearly 2,000 county officials to discuss federal policies that directly impact counties and our residents.

During the three-day conference, Daniel actively engaged with various government leaders and advocated for priorities crucial to Mesa County. On the third day, she had the opportunity to voice Mesa County priorities directly to the Colorado congressional delegation. Among the topics discussed were the necessity for a 29 Road Interchange at I-70, the Clifton Opportunities Now for Vibrant Economic Yields (CONVEY) Act, addressing aging water infrastructure, immigration solutions, Payments in Lieu of Taxes (PILT), and more.
