Mesa County, in its commitment to fostering strong community bonds, recently hosted a Round Robin event at the Palisade Community Center, 120 W. 8th St. This gathering was a unique opportunity for residents to engage directly with county commissioners and leaders from both the county and the Town of Palisade.

A Round Robin event is an efficient model for community engagement, adopting a format similar to speed networking. It offers an approachable setting for citizens to connect with multiple community leaders within a short time, typically an hour.

During this event, participants were grouped at tables, seating between 5 and 7 individuals. This intimate setting provided an opportunity for residents to introduce themselves, pose questions and share their thoughts and ideas. The event's highlight was the rotation of leaders among the tables, ensuring that each group had the chance for personal and meaningful interactions with every leader present.

This format facilitated open communication and allowed for a diverse exchange of perspectives, fostering a deeper understanding between the community and its leaders.

Mesa County Round Robin events are more than just a meeting — they're an opportunity to engage in genuine conversations, offering residents a platform to voice their opinions.
