Did you know the 21st Judicial District Attorney’s Office Lighthouse Program includes meaningful mentorship opportunities for children involved?

Mentors in the Lighthouse Program are Colorado Mesa University (CMU) students who provide vital support to at-risk school-aged youth. Mentors build meaningful relationships with participants, fostering trust and a sense of belonging while promoting positive decision-making and modeling healthy behaviors.

The mentors focus on assisting the individuals with developing practical life skills such as time management, conflict resolution, and goal-setting while encouraging engagement in academic, extracurricular, and community-based activities.

The goal of the mentorship portion of the program is to create a supportive environment that empowers each child to overcome challenges, develop resilience, and achieve their goals through consistent and reliable guidance, aligning with the Lighthouse Program’s mission of fostering personal growth and success.
