DA's Office honors victims and survivors of crime
In recognition of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, the 21st Judicial District Attorney’s Office partnered with local community organizations to host a special luncheon honoring victims and survivors of crime. The event was part of a national initiative that sheds light on the impact of crime, celebrates the strength of survivors, and highlights the support systems available throughout the Grand Valley.
Held locally, the event brought together victim advocates, service providers, law enforcement and community leaders who work year-round to support those affected by crime. It also served as a powerful reminder of the importance of compassion, justice, and healing in the criminal justice system.
District Attorney Dan Rubinstein delivered remarks at the event, emphasizing the community’s responsibility to support survivors and seek justice on their behalf.
The event also recognized the many professionals and volunteers who dedicate their time to helping victims rebuild their lives. From advocates and therapists to law enforcement and legal teams, the event honored those who bring strength and hope to survivors every day, serving as a reminder that healing occurs when a community comes together.
