The Lighthouse Program’s sister program: Juvenile Diversion
The Juvenile Diversion Program, offered by the 21st Judicial District Attorney’s (DA) Office, serves as a proactive and restorative alternative to traditional prosecution for eligible youth in Mesa County. While the DA’s Office oversees all juvenile cases in the County, its approach is rooted in supporting positive youth development and prioritizing the best interests of the child.
Each case is carefully reviewed to determine whether diversion is an appropriate option. When selected, youth are connected with supportive services and resources designed to help them repair harm, build skills, and stay on a positive path, all while maintaining ties to their community and avoiding deeper system involvement.
