At this week’s April 29 administrative public hearing, the commissioners took a short break from regular business to join the Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Bobbie Gross in congratulating four outstanding students for their creativity and civic engagement that led them to become winners of the Mesa County Elections’ second “I Voted” Sticker Contest.

Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Bobbie Gross presented each student with a special plaque and gift basket to commemorate their achievement and expressed gratitude and pride for their creative contributions that made the contest a great success. The D51 Superintendent, Dr. Brian Hill, thanked the clerk and recorder for her part in helping students recognize the importance of voting, the commissioners for honoring the students, and the families, staff, and exceptional students who participated to make this year’s contest inspiring.

“It is an honor to see the talent and passion showcased by the youth in the Grand Valley for the second year in a row,” said Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Bobbie Gross. “A huge thank you to the schools, teachers, parents, and above all, the amazing students whose enthusiasm and hard work made this contest such a memorable celebration of civic pride!”
