Mesa County Elections is pleased to announce the winners of the second annual  "I Voted" Sticker Contest. The Elections team launched the unique contest to bring local creativity from first to 12th-grade youth to the forefront of civic pride and community engagement.

The contest sparked considerable interest and excitement, with approximately 96 submissions from talented youth across Mesa County. Our dedicated Clerk and Recorder’s Office employees meticulously evaluated the submissions, narrowing them down to the top 16. Then, the public played a crucial role in selecting the four winners from the finalists showcased on our website.

We are proud to announce the winners of the contest:

Kate from Messiah Lutheran Church and School, 5th Grade

Hand drawn sticker reading I Voted with and American flag, a line of people and skyscrapers.

Jessica from Thunder Mountain Elementary School, 5th Grade

A sticker reading I Voted with a peach tree, flowers and peaches.

Layla from Redlands Middle School, 8th Grade

A sticker reading I Voted with a mountain landscape and a lake.

Jacob from Independence Academy Charter School, 7th Grade

Sticker reading I Voted with an American flag behind Mt. Garfield.

Congratulations to these inspiring students!

“We are thrilled to see the passion and talent of the youth in our community shine light on the importance of civic engagement for the second year in a row,” Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Bobbie Gross said. “We look forward to seeing our community members proudly wear these beautiful 'I Voted' stickers in the 2025 election season.”

Please join us in celebrating the talented winners at the Mesa County Commissioners' public hearing at 9 a.m. on April 29 at the Mesa County Old Courthouse, 544 Rood Ave., on the second floor in the public hearing room.
