Mesa County Elections recognized nationally with the 2024 Clearie Award for “I Voted” Sticker Contest
We are proud to announce Mesa County Elections was selected as one of the 53 winners of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission's (EAC) 2024 Clearinghouse Awards, also known as the “Clearies,” for our “I Voted” Sticker Design Contest. This year’s awards saw over 258 entries, recognizing outstanding innovation and best practices in election administration across the country during the 2024 presidential election year.
Our award-winning initiative, the Mesa County “I Voted” Sticker Contest, was first launched in 2023 to engage young residents and future voters through civic creativity. The contest provides students with a unique opportunity to express their artistic talents while highlighting the importance of electoral participation, making civic engagement both fun and memorable.
“I’m incredibly proud of the effort our election team has put into making this contest a success. Their dedication to outreach, especially in connecting with local art teachers and schools, was key to the program's success,” Mesa County Clerk and Recorder Bobbie Gross said. “I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the teachers, students, and parents who participated. This recognition would not have been possible without your enthusiasm, creativity and commitment.”
Together, we’re not only celebrating art — we’re inspiring the voters of tomorrow.
