The Board of Mesa County Commissioners approved a $194,240 agreement between Mesa County and Roadway Asset Services, LLC (RAS) for the 2025 Pavement Condition Assessment Project at their June 24 public hearing.

The contractor will conduct a pavement condition survey on approximately 713 centerline miles of paved roads within the County limits and format the data to import into the County's asset management software, OpenGov.

The results of the assessment project will be compiled into a final report, which will include the survey findings and other relevant information. These results will also be used to confirm the data used by OpenGov for predicting the deterioration curves of Mesa County roads by comparing the results from the previous 2022 condition assessment.

Mesa County Public Works will then use this information to formulate a pavement management plan for scheduling maintenance and replacement of the paved roadway network, utilizing the best available data.
