Micro-grant from SIPA helps Mesa County improve GIS tools accessibility
Mesa County Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are becoming more accessible for all users, thanks to a digital ADA microgrant from the Colorado State-Wide Internet Portal Authority (SIPA).
The GIS team at Mesa County is advancing our commitment to digital ADA remediation efforts on our public-facing platforms, specifically our GIS map viewer and open data sites, with the funding from this grant.
This grant will ensure all members of our community, regardless of ability, have equitable access to Mesa County’s wealth of spatial data and interactive mapping resources.
These tools help residents, local businesses and community partners access public data and explore important information regarding property boundaries, zoning, trails and more.
We thank SIPA for recognizing the need for accessibility and for helping us foster a more inclusive and informed Mesa County.
