Food Safety Alert: additional recall involving gyro kits
Mesa County Public Health has been made aware of a recall involving Gyro Family Kits from Reser’s Fine Foods, Inc. These kits were distributed nationwide at Sprouts stores and may have been sold in Mesa County. Consumers should check their refrigerators for the recalled items and throw them away. These kits contain cucumbers in the tzatziki sauce that are part of a recall due to a potential contamination of Salmonella.
This recall is in addition to the food safety alert Mesa County Public Health posted yesterday, regarding the recall involving Gyro Sandwich Express Meal Kits from Fresh Creative Foods that were sold to Sam’s Clubs nationwide. Learn more about that recall on our website.
Description of recalled products
- Gyro Family Kit labeled with UPC 20594800000.
- They have a use by date of 12/29/24-01/07/25.
- They are packaged in plastic trays with clear, plastic lids.
What should consumers do
- Consumers who have purchased these kits should throw them out and not consume any part of the kits.
- You can also return the product to the local store for a full refund.

Salmonella description
