Food Safety Alert: recall involving gyro sandwich kits

Mesa County Public Health has been made aware of a recall involving Gyro Sandwich Express Meal Kits, which were distributed nationwide at Sam’s Club stores and may have been sold in Mesa County. Consumers should check their refrigerators for the recalled items and throw them away. These kits contain cucumbers in the tzatziki sauce that are part of a recall due to a potential contamination of Salmonella.
Description of recalled products
- Beef & Lamb Gyro Sandwich Express Meal Kits labeled with UPC: 0-13454-38313-1.
- They have a use by date of 12/24/2024 – 1/6/2025.
- Products were distributed to Sam’s Club warehouses nationally.
What should consumers do
- Consumers who have purchased these kits should not consume any part of the kits.
- If you are uncertain about whether the product that you purchased is impacted, please discard it and visit any Sam’s Club for a full refund.

Salmonella description
