Construction will begin on the 16 Road Guardrail project on Monday, April 8. Travelers should prepare for road closures and detours.

To accommodate the construction work, 16 Road, between M Road and O Road, will be temporarily closed to through traffic. Motorists are advised to use the designated detour via 17 Road to circumvent the construction area.

The project aims to enhance road safety through several critical measures, including removing outdated guardrails and reinforcing road shoulders. This preparatory work paves the way for the installation of new, modern guardrails designed to meet current safety standards.

Construction activities are planned, including building embankments, adding traffic signs and guardrails, and maintaining traffic control to keep the public safe and aware during the improvements.

The construction team is committed to minimizing disruptions and aims to complete the project by the end of May.
