Road and Bridge approved to purchase cold magnesium chloride for snow removal program

The Mesa County Road and Bridge Manager got unanimous approval from the Board of Mesa County Commissioners to place a $112,000 purchase order for cold magnesium chloride (Torch IB) during the Jan. 7 administrative public hearing. 

The cold magnesium chloride will carry out the essential Road and Bridge snow removal program in 2025 when it’s used to de-ice and maintain traction on snowy roads across the County to maintain safe and efficient winter road maintenance.
