Resources are available for Turner Gulch and Wright Draw Fire evacuees
The Clifton Community Center, located at 3270 D ½ Road in Clifton, has a variety of resources available to individuals evacuating from areas near Gateway due to the Turner Gulch and Wright Draw Fires, which began on Thursday, July 10, 2025.
It is important to note that this is not an overnight shelter, though officials at the Center can connect individuals seeking overnight shelter to resources that can provide it. The need for overnight shelter has not presented itself at this time.
Connection to resources, including shelter, toiletries, food, medical, mental, and spiritual assistance, is available at the Clifton Community Center through Mesa County Public Health, resource navigators, Food Bank of the Rockies and the American Red Cross.
Pets and small animals can stay with their owners in shelter situations. Please call 970-778-0161 to receive assistance with evacuating or sheltering large animals and livestock.
Please avoid driving down Highway 141 so fire crews can continue working hard to suppress the fires.
At this time, we are not seeking donations from the community. If that becomes a need, we will reach out to our community. We appreciate the outpouring of support from our community during this time.
