Do you have light bulbs, batteries, or other hazardous waste items you’re waiting to drop off at the Hazardous Waste Collection Facility? We’re here to make it easy to recycle these items for FREE at a secondary location on April 27, at this year's Southwest Arbor Fest at Lincoln Park, 910 N. 12th St., from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We know it’s easy to toss dead batteries and bulbs in the trash, but putting your toxic waste in the trash endangers the environment and human health because it creates dangerous situations at the landfill.

ACCEPTED ITEMS

Bulbs:

• CFL (Compact-Fluorescent) Bulbs

• HID (High-Intensity Discharge) Bulbs

• Fluorescent Tube Lightbulbs

Paint:

• Latex, Oil-based, and Aerosol Paints

Batteries:

• All Types of Batteries

NOT ACCEPTED

• Electronic waste (TVs, computers, etc.)

• Leaking containers

• Industrial paint

• Business waste

You can do your part and help keep Mesa County clean by bringing your batteries, paint, and bulbs to the event. We hope to see you there!
