IMPORTANT INFORMATION CONCERNING OUR RESPONSE TO THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK
As the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation continues to unfold, the health and safety of our employees, our customers, and the community we serve is our highest priority.
The Mesa County Landfill is OPEN to the public during the SAFER-AT-HOME period; however, residents are encouraged to utilize their commercial waste hauler and only visit the landfill when absolutely necessary.
The Hazardous Waste Collection Facility is OPEN for residential drop-off, but closed to material re-use. The Organic Materials Composting Facility is OPEN with reduced hours.
To limit overtime costs, ALL customers must be unloaded/loaded by our closing time.
High Wind Notice- Per Colorado regulation, the Mesa County Landfill is required to close during periods of high winds. If you plan on visiting the Hazardous Waste Facility on a windy day, please call 256-9543 prior to coming out to ensure the facility is open.
The Mesa County Hazardous Waste Collection Facility is open to all Mesa County residents and VSQG businesses.
The facility CAN NOT accept waste from OUT OF COUNTY residents or businesses.
