Paints and other household products which are in good condition brought in by residents becomes part of our reuse program.
  The items are free of charge with signature of a waiver. 


Yes, we are able to accept credit and debit cards for payment. Please note: all credit and debit card transactions will be subject to a convenience fee of 2.5% of the origional transaction with a minimum fee of $1.95 applied by our third party card transaction provider.  Mesa County does not charge or retain any of these fees.

Yes, electronic waste is $0.65 cents a pound.

Weekly Residential Waste Limits & Fees

The following is a list of residential waste quantities that will be accepted free of charge.
Fees will apply to the quantities that exceed the limit.

  Explosives, radioactive materials, bioplogical waste, and narcotic medications are NOT accepted.

The recycling area is open Monday - Friday from 7:00 am to 4:45 p.m and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.. Recycling is located just past the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility, before the scale house on the left through the chain link fence. 

The latex paint is recycled into road base and low grade concrete paint, oil based paint is used as a fuels blend, and electronic waste is de-manufactured and the various components are then recycled.

Electronic waste that is collected onsite is sent to Ft. Collins for de-manufacturing and recycling. Fees cover the shipping and de-manufacturing costs.
