Do you have a reuse program?
Paints and other household products which are in good condition brought in by residents becomes part of our reuse program. The items are free of charge with signature of a waiver.

Yes, we are now able to accept credit and debit cards for payment. Please note: all credit and debit card transactions will be subject to a convenience fee of 2% + $.25. Please inquire about this fee prior to running your card.
How much oil do you take at one time from a resident and do any fees apply?
There is a 50 gallon limit. Call for applicable container fees at (970) 256-9543 or (970) 257-9336.
Is there a fee for dropping off electronic waste; if so how much?
Yes, electronic waste is $.45 cents a pound.
What are the household hazardous waste collection days?
Household hazardous waste collection days are Thursday- Friday 8:00am-4:15pm, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:15 p.m.
What fees apply to residential waste?
Fees are dependent upon the quantity of waste dropped off by the resident (e.g. over 40 gallons of paint there is a $.40 cent/lb fee after 40 gallons). Call for applicable fees at (970) 256-9543 or (970) 257-9336.
What other locations in town take electronic waste?
Electronic waste is also accepted at Waste Management (970) 263-5617
What type of household waste do you take?
The HHW takes everything from latex and oil based paint to pesticides, household cleaner, car batteries, alkaline batteries, and florescent light bulbs/lights. We do not take explosives, radioactive materials or narcotic medications.
When is the recycling area open?
The recycling area is open Monday - Friday from 7:00 am to 4:45 p.m and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.. Recycling is located just past the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility, before the scale house on the left through the chain link fence.
Where does the collected waste go?
The latex paint is recycled into road base and low grade concrete paint, oil based paint is used as a fuels blend, and electronic waste is de-manufactured and the various components are then recycled.
Why is there a fee for electronic waste?
Electronic waste that is collected onsite is sent to Ft. Collins for de-manufacturing and recycling. Fees cover the shipping and de-manufacturing costs.
