All loads must be covered & secured or will be charged double
Business waste is not accepted at transfer stations
High Wind Notice - Per Colorado regulation, Transfer Stations are required to close during periods of high winds. If you plan on visiting on a windy day, please call prior to coming out to ensure the facility is open.

Disposal Fees and Waste Acceptance Policy

1. Personal Vehicle: 3/4 ton or smaller |
$20.00* per load (truck & trailer is considered two loads) |
2. Trailers/Large Trucks |
$20.00* per load (truck & trailer is considered two loads), limited to trailers/trucks with less than 10 feet of bed length |
3. Special Waste: Soil, sludge, etc. |

* Cash or Check Only. Transfer Stations will not accept bills larger than $50.
Other Wastes Prohibited for Disposal at the Mesa County Transfer Stations
- Business waste.
- Hazardous Waste including but not limited to: waste containing free liquid, auto batteries or wastes containing mercury, electronics. Contact the Hazardous Waste Collection Facility for disposal options 256-9543.
- Tires (accepted at the Mesa County Landfill- <22.5" off rim $5, on rim $10, >22.5" off rim $10, on rim $20).
- Appliances containing Freon.
- Animal carcasses (accepted at the Mesa County Landfill).
- Materials which produce large quantities of dust when disposed.
- Material that could combust during periods of hot weather.
If in doubt, please contact the facility to determine whether we can accept your waste at a Transfer Station.
