Parks Maintained by Mesa County

Arboretum is one of four parks located at the Mesa County Fair Grounds. It is located along the south edge of the main parking lot. The demonstration and research garden is maintained by the Colorado State University Extension Office. Reservations for large events may be made by contacting the Fair Grounds office at 256-1531.

Lion's Park

Long Family Memorial Park is Mesa County’s regional park it is home to six multipurpose sports fields, a softball field, and many other amenities you would expect in a large park.  While reservations are not required for shelter usage they are strongly recommended they do fill up very quickly during the summer. Mesa County has an agreement with the city of Grand Junction to handle the scheduling for the Long Family Memorial Park and you may contact them at 254-3866 or visit their Parks and Recreation page.

Rocky Mountain Elementary Park is Located behind Rocky Mountain Elementary School, it is a neighborhood park it features large open spaces. There is a picnic shelter no reservations required.
