There are many baseball and softball fields located throughout the County. Many host recreational leagues and little leagues, while others host regional high school teams, the Colorado Mesa University team, and the Grand Junction Jackalopes a member of the Pioneer Baseball League.

There are plenty of courts located around the county where you can find a pick-up game to join in or even start one of your own with some family and friends.

Disc golf is a game where individuals toss frisbee-like discs into a basket with the object of the game being similar to golf, having the lowest or fewest number of throws into each basket. The following parks have disc golf courses available for use. 

The City of Grand Junction maintains Stocker Stadium located at the Lincoln Park Complex, home to the Colorado Mesa University Mavericks. The track runs along the edge of the field where you can enjoy a nice walk or jog.

The following golf courses are maintained by The City of Grand Junction and open to the public. Lincoln Park Golf Course is a 9-hole course with a 25 tee driving range. Tiara Rado is an 18-hole course located near the scenic Colorado National Monument. And Adobe Creek National, a 27 hole course, also has great views of the Colorado National Monument. Horseshoes is a great outdoor game that can be played between as little as two people but teams are also possible. The game requires fours horseshoes, but at the parks below the needed stake pits are available for your use.

For those who like to roll, Mesa County has opportunities for boarders, roller bladers, and bikers available. 

There are plenty of places to kick that soccer ball around or to play a game of lacrosse. Canyon View Park is host to both regional soccer and lacrosse meets.

The following are parks which have tennis and handball courts available for use.

There are plenty of volleyball courts available around the county where you can play a game. All volleyball courts are sand and are located outdoors.
