Construction Stormwater Permits

When do you need this permit?

Construction Stormwater Permit is required if you will disturb one acre or more (≥1) OR
If you will disturb less than one acre that is part of a larger common plan of development or sale.
A “common plan of development or sale” means
- A contiguous area where multiple separate and distinct construction activities may be taking place
  - At different times
  - On different schedules
- Remain related by a common contract or plan.
- Contiguous means construction activities located in close proximity to each other (within 1⁄4 mile).

Permit Application
Permittee must be designated on the permit, an individual who will be the responsible party for the project.
Stormwater Maps
A copy of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) - Colorado Discharge Permit System (CDPS) approved stormwater certification.
