Join the Victim Information Notification System

Please keep your contact information up to date in order to receive current information.

Colorado VINE is a proactive notification system that sends you an automatic alert anytime an offender’s custody status changes.

Pre-Trial

Your victim specialist will not receive notification when a defendant has made bond.  Therefore, it is important that you register with the victim notification program called VINE (Victim Information and Notification Every Day).  VINE can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide the most current information regarding custody status changes and criminal case information.  In Mesa County, VINE only applies to notifications regarding inmates housed in the Mesa County Detention Facility.

To register, call 888-263-8463 or go online to VINE and follow the prompts.  You must have the defendant’s first and last name in order to register.  If you register online you will be given the option of being notified of custody changes by phone, email or text message. When you register you will be asked to input a 4 digit PIN.  You must enter the PIN both to receive the information and to stop the notifications.

Post Conviction

While the 21st Judicial District Attorney’s Office automatically notifies victims of critical stages in the prosecution of a criminal case, other agencies may require the victim to request or opt-in for notification after the defendant is sentenced.

If a defendant is in the custody or control of one of the following agencies and you wish to be notified please enroll with the agency directly.

Department of Corrections/Parole

For post conviction information on an offender visit the Victim Services page at the Department of Corrections.

Probation

You must opt in to receive  notifications about an offender on Probation.  To do this please contact the Victim Services Officer  or call (970) 257-3600

The District Attorney’s Office will have information in reference to a sentenced Defendant and can inform you of the appropriate agency to contact for post-conviction information.
