Firearms Prohibited: Carrying a firearm on your person concealed, open carry, or otherwise on courthouse property, including parking lots, is against the law and could result in summons or arrest pursuant to CRS 18-12-105.3.

Shakedown Team

About the team

The Shakedown Team is responsible for searching all areas of the Mesa County Detention Facility for any type of contraband, such as weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco, or other nuisance contraband.

Searches are conducted at undisclosed times and locations several times throughout the year to ensure the safety and security of the inmates and the facility
