Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP)

The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) is an income and eligibility-based program
designed to assist eligible families with the cost of child care. Parent(s) need to be in an eligible activity.

The eligible activities are:

  • Employment/Self-Employment
  • High School/GED (52 weeks, unless a teen parent)
  • Basic education, English as a Second Language (ELS) (52 weeks)
  • Post-Secondary Education, up to first bachelors degree (104 weeks)
  • Job Skills Training Program/Certificate Program (104 weeks)
  • Job Search (13 weeks)

Verifications needed:

  • Verification of eligible activity such as paystubs for employment, ledger for self-employment, or student schedule for schooling
  • Address verification (e.g., lease, current bill)
  • Verification of income (e.g., Child Support, Social Security, Veteran’s Benefits)
  • Custody arrangement, if there is shared custody
  • Phone Interview

Please note that this list may not include all verifications needed. Every case is different, and extra
documentation may be requested by your eligibility worker under certain circumstances. We cannot
backdate care, so please submit all verifications with the application for quicker processing.
